Christmas Recycling

Waste Clearance London-Waste administrators are encouraging Wirral people to recycle more this Holiday season.
Tonnes of waste are usually produced during Christmas and New Year therefore home owners are reminded to recycle paper, cans, bottles, cardboard, food and the Christmas trees at the end of the holiday period.

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority is encouraging local people that the 14 domestic waste recycling centers are accessible during this festive season and are willingly ready to recycle those leftovers at no added cost.
Councilor Joe DeAsha, chairman of MRWA, said: “A lot of waste is created at this time of the year so it’s a good chance to boost Merseyside’s recycling levels.

"Our recycling centres will happily accept the clutter of people’s packaging, bottles, cans and even Christmas trees.”

The three recycling centers are located at Bidston Moss, Wallasey Bridge Road, Birkenhead; Greenbank Road, West Kirby and Mount Road, Clatterbridge.

All of these Waste centers are open every day from 8am to 5pm except for Christmas day, boxing day and New year's day They all accept any materials consisting of cans, cardboard, garden waste, glass jars and bottles, paper, scrap metal, textiles, timber, tyres, white goods and electrical items.
